Below is a comprehensive list of all known (over 4700) bunny names. If you know of a bunny whose name is not on this list, please contact us at bunny10@altheim.com. It would be appreciated if the word "BUNNY" appeared somewhere in the subject of your message, otherwise it may get lost in a spam filter. And please, this is not a list of possible bunny names, so don't just send a name a bunny might have. On the other hand, if you have an unused bunny name, we might add it to the Suggested Names list.
NOTE: Use of this list to obtain names for kitties, puppies, gerbils, hamsters, or other fuzzy pets is an abuse of this service and will not be tolerated.
Note (16 Jan 2010): It's been a long time coming, but after eight years' of massive success (the CBNL is consistently the top search result for "bunny names" from Google) we're finally using 21st century technology! Previously this list was updated by hand (!) but now the page is generated using JSPs and an XML database. We here of the CBNL Management think things are working pretty slick if we do say so ourselves. Apologies for the long wait and thanks for all the bunny photos!
Note (12 Dec 2005): While there are many large scale tragedies in the world at this time, this doesn't diminish the small-scale ones that happen within one's friends and family. We're very saddened to say that in September, Charley (the flying bunny in the photo above) was received by the Bunny Mother Ship, leaving a few crop circles in its wake on the journey to the Great Bunny Green Fields in the Sky. And then in October we lost Shoyu Nut Zipper to a very sudden infection. Anyone who has lost a bunny friend can understand that our more fragile friends are ever the more precious, that every day we have them with us is a special day. This should be true every day, and for all of our friends and family, but we sometimes forget. We'll never forget our good friends Charley and Shoyu!

Clicking on a bunny name provides a stable link to that bunny name in your browser's location bar. The Comprehensive Bunny Name List has been assigned a Persistent URL [PURL], so that in addition to the URL returned by your browser, any bunny name also has a PURL. This PURL is your bunny's Bunny ID (BID), and may be used as a Published Subject Indicator (PSI) (a canonical identifier) for your bunny as according to XML Topic Maps [XTM] [TM].
For example, the BID for Bunzilla (id="bid0537") is
http://purl.org/ceryle/bunny/#bid0537
The PSI (topic type) for Bunny IDs is:
http://purl.org/ceryle/bunny/#BID
This may be all your bunny needs to prepare for the Semantic Web!
